The most popular mode of transport around Sapa is the two-stroke,
single cylinder Minsk. This Belorussian farm bike is basically a 125cc mechanised mule. Apparently the owner's manual says,
'these motorcycles are especially suitable for service in the country-side with bad or no roads.'
My rider (right) was good enough to swap his helmet for my cap while we rode down the mountain.
